Motor update

As many of you know, we were not able to qualify at all for the race on May 19th. We continued to struggle getting the motor above 6500RPM. After changing the fuel pump and distributor we are now confident that we need to have the cam shaft replaced.

We pulled the engine Monday night May 21st and it is getting a new cam installed as we speak. The engine is currently on the dyno and we should have it back later today.

We dont anticipate any more issues and should be able to make the next race on June 2nd! Thanks for all of our fans and sponsors support and patience while we worked through these racing bugs.

Look for the #28 ITS Impala SS to run up front for the rest of the season! See you at the track!!

Racing again this weekend!

Our #28 Pepsi Max Super Late Model will once again be on the race track this Saturday night! The first race of the season on May 5th, didn't turn out well for us. After installing a new motor the night before, the team struggled with an electrical issue all day. Finally conceding that the distributor was faulty. The team has since installed a new distributor and the motor sounds beautiful.

After blowing the engine during lap 12 of the first test session of 2012, KRT was able to have a new engine built and delivered 1 day before the first race of 2012 only 2 weeks later! The crew installed that engine, working hard into the morning hours Saturday morning and was at the track Saturday afternoon only to find the distributor issues wouldn't allow the engine to get over 6000RPM thus ending the day for KRT and the #28 Chevy Impala SS.

KRT is anxious to race this weekend and anticipates a good showing. 'We hope to have a solid top 3 finish', said Wade Koens, driver of the #28 Impala. Koens went on to say, 'Because of our issues on the track since the first test session back on April 21st, we really have not had any laps yet this season, so this race is our first chance to tune the setup. We want to find speed and load up a clean car at the end of the night'.
